Le groupe de rock caifornien Adema a en effet annoncé que Ryan Shuck, cofondateur du groupe Orgy et membre du projet Dead By Sunrise de Chester Bennington, est le nouveau chanteur principal du groupe. Shuck, qui est également le leader du groupe électronique Julien-K, rejoint Adema à la place du chanteur Marky Chavez.

Dans un long post sur Facebook et sur ses réseaux sociaux, Shuck explique qu’il est un fan de longue date d’Adema, après avoir déjà joué avec le bassiste David DeRoo dans le groupe Sexart, dans lequel figurait également le futur leader du groupe KoRn, Jonathan Davis. Il note qu’il a « oeuvré de manière majeure et très active » l’année dernière pour que le groupe d’origine se reforme avec Chavez.

I have a very special announcement. Let's cut to the chase: I am going to assume the “frontman / lead singer” position with my good friends in ADEMA this Fall on a major tour and even more one-off’s towards the end of this year. Yes, you heard it correctly. AND I am still executing Julien-K’s Harmonic Disruptor schedule and business w zero “disruption” (clever right!?)! In fact: Amir is helping me do it (more surprises there later!). “WTF am I thinking?” “Kind of insanely exciting!?” (I know between Orgy, Dead By Sunrise, Julien-K, and Adema, we share like.. a million fans – that is probably a literal number BTW). Well. Let me tell you: As many of you know, my first band ever, SEX ART, from Bakersfield & Taft CA, was formed in my teens with some of my longest lasting friendships – Jonathan Davis & David Deroo. In many ways I feel like I'm performing w a group of my childhood best friends. I have been a fan of Kris Kohls since Cradle Of Thorns – OVER 25 YEARS AGO – when we were teenagers! The rest of the ADEMA guys have been part of my life for 16+ years. I’m having so much fun interpreting this amazing music in my own way – music that I am a personal fan of – I cant even describe the high. I simply could not sit back any longer and let my brothers music LINGER without bringing it to the fans that love this band as much as I do. You guys deserve it – the band deserves it – I fucking LOVE it. I wouldn’t do this without addressing my other brother Marky Chavez. The proverbial “elephant in the room”. I KNOW fans love him. SO DO I. Last year, on the very very “DL”, I was personally engaged in a major effort to put ADEMA back together – THE WHOLE BAND. I spent a lot of time working on this. These guys are my brothers. I love them. ALL of them. I can be VERY convincing (as Mike Ransom has pointed out in many very funny situations), and I desperately wanted the band to go out a tour again, make new music, and live the life we all built. I love Marky and I love his voice. I personally talked to him on multiple occasions, sometimes for a few hours, trying to figure out why the band just couldn’t be “all together” and tour. Comme le rapporte wyyx.com, cela a conduit Chavez, qui avait rejoint Adema en 2017 après avoir quitté le groupe plusieurs fois auparavant, à dire à Ryan Shuck « calmement et clairement » qu’il « ne désirait plus chanter la musique écrite avec le groupe ».

Après le départ officiel de Chavez du groupe, le reste d’Adema s’est tourné vers Shuck pour lui demander d’être leur nouveau leader. Après quelques hésitations, il a finalement accepté et fera ses débuts dans Adema lors d’une tournée commençant en septembre.

« Je vais faire » mon truc « avec mes frères d’Adema (le groupe original) pendant qu’eux font » leur truc », nous serons sur scène cinq à six nuits par semaine, aux États-Unis, pour l’expérience de toute une vie « , écrit Shuck. « S’il vous plaît, joignez-vous à nous cet automne. Ça va être incroyable. »

 Adema sera sur la route cet automne avec Powerman 5000 pour la tournée « The Days Of Disorder ». (HED) P.E. sera également de la partie.
